To the editor:
A recent evening volunteering with the Dean Phillips for Congress Campaign convinced me to let my neighbors know about this opportunity to enjoy the summer weather while doing good. Dean is the Democrat-endorsed candidate for the House of Representatives in the 3rd Congressional District, which includes Bloomington, Eden Prairie, most of Edina and other suburbs.
I volunteered at Dean’s booth at the Hennepin County Fair. I enjoyed being outdoors telling visitors about the strength and common sense of Dean’s priorities. I was glad to say that Dean will act independently in the best interest of our community because he is refusing to accept any money from PACs or special interest groups, such as the NRA.
It is easy to volunteer through Dean’s website: phillipsforcongress.org. After you sign up, you receive emails that let you know about the many outdoor and indoor volunteer opportunities. You are free to choose how you participate. It is easy and fun. I hope to see you out there in this great Minnesota summer.
