My priorities are shaped by my own principles and values, and by those of the thousands of people throughout our district with whom I’ve had conversations. I believe representation begins with listening — and I hope you’ll continue to share your thoughts, ideas and dreams with me.
CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM
I refuse to accept money from PACs, special interest groups or federal lobbyists, and will make campaign finance reform a top priority.
HEALTHCARE FOR ALL AMERICANS
All Americans should have high-quality, affordable healthcare, regardless of their age, condition or ability to pay. I won’t rest until they do.
Dean will advocate for increasing government efficiency, generating more value from tax revenue, creating a fairer tax system, and basing spending on return on investment.
We must work in a bipartisan fashion to ensure that the elements of a secure retirement are protected — including Medicare, Medicaid and support for caregivers.
Thoughts and prayers may offer comfort but they don’t save lives. Courage and action can save lives — and that requires new representation.
JOBS AND THE ECONOMY
I’m an advocate for policies that grow the economy by reducing red tape, investing in people and rewarding innovation.
Bipartisan, comprehensive and fair reforms that address our immigration challenges will help reduce the deficit and support America’s businesses.
COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change is an environmental, economic and national security threat that must be addressed head-on, and the U.S. should be a leader — not a follower.
SUPPORTING OUR VETERANS
As a Gold Star Son, I know all too well the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. We must take care of those who risk their lives in service to our country and the families they leave behind.
HIGHER EDUCATION AND JOB TRAINING
Every Minnesotan should have the opportunity to earn an affordable college degree, apprenticeship or job-training certificate that prepares them for jobs of the future.
WORLD-CLASS PUBLIC EDUCATION
Our children deserve world-class public education, and school districts and teachers need the resources, strategy and support to provide it.
WOMEN’S HEALTH AND ECONOMIC SECURITY
Women deserve equal pay for equal work, sensible paid leave policies, access to comprehensive healthcare, and reproductive freedom.
Representation begins with listening. What's on your mind?
