How can you make your video really shine?

For starters, if you have a Phillips for Congress tee, sweatshirt, or hat, pop it on. Or, get a little creative and print a photo of Dean—or have your kiddo create some campaign art.

If you don’t, though, that’s okay! All you really have to do is bring big energy.

Here are a few pro tips:

  • Record against a wall or a background with minimal elements behind you
  • Look for a space with soft, bright light (facing a window is a great way to do this)
  • Smile to yourself before you start—we’re taking an action of optimism, after all
  • Find a place to record with minimal background noise
  • Wait for 1-2 seconds before speaking and also when you’re done
  • Recording on your phone is best—either directly or by uploading—followed by a tablet, and then your desktop or laptop computer
